Our class will hold a charity sale next Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the student activity center to raise funds for children in need of educational supplies and winter clothing. Please bring unused books, stationery, clothes or handicrafts that can be sold at reasonable prices. All proceeds will be donated through a certified charity.
This is a meaningful chance to help others and strengthen our class spirit. Your participation, however small, will make a real difference. Let’s gather as many items as possible and make the sale a success.

The chart illustrates that the proportions of students taking part-time jobs account for 67.77%, 71.13%, 71.93%, and 88.24% among freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors respectively, rising steadily with each grade. It is obvious that the upward trend is consistent, and the highest proportion is found in the fourth year.
The increase can be explained by several factors. As students advance to higher grades, they usually face stronger financial pressure and a more urgent need to prepare for employment. In addition, they often have more autonomy in arranging their time, making it easier to combine part-time work with campus life.
In my view, part-time jobs can help students cultivate practical abilities and defray living expenses. Nevertheless, they should be cautious about the possible encroachment of work on academic studies and the risk of rights being infringed.
