The chart illustrates a survey on residents' exercise methods in a certain city, where multiple choices were allowed. Exercising alone accounts for the largest proportion at 54.3%, followed by exercising with friends at 47.7%, with family at 23.9%, and group activities at 15.8%. Overall, solitary exercise dominates, while social exercise ranks second.

Several factors explain this pattern. Fragmented daily schedules and convenient nearby facilities make individual exercise the most flexible option, allowing residents to train at their own pace and time. In contrast, exercising with friends or family is often easier to sustain because companionship strengthens motivation; however, it is limited by the cost of coordinating time, place, and fitness levels.

Therefore, local authorities and communities should improve more accessible fitness facilities nearby and organize more regular group activities. By turning exercise from personal perseverance into social support, the city can encourage residents' long-term healthy lifestyles and stronger community bonds.
