Dear friends,
On behalf of the Students' Union, I am writing to extend our warmest welcome to you as international students joining our university.
To help you settle into campus life, I would like to offer a few suggestions. First, attend the orientation week and join clubs so that you can make friends and experience Chinese culture. Second, download our campus app to check timetables, canteens and library hours. Finally, feel free to turn to teachers or Chinese classmates whenever you meet difficulties.
We look forward to seeing you on campus and hope you will enjoy a memorable stay here.
Yours sincerely,
Li Ming
On behalf of the Students' Union并完成欢迎。

As is vividly depicted in the drawing, a spilled bottle is placed on the ground. In contrast, two people react to it in completely different ways. One crouches beside it, sighing with a dejected face, “It is all over.” While he only sees the loss, the other reaches out to pick up the remaining contents, smiling and saying, “At least there is still some left.”
The intended meaning of the picture is that a person’s attitude largely determines his or her perspective and action. Faced with the same setback, the pessimist focuses on what has been lost, which makes him feel helpless, whereas the optimist notices what remains and is therefore motivated to take practical steps. In other words, it is not the accident itself but the difference in mindset that decides whether one gives up or tries to make the best of the situation.
From my perspective, instead of complaining about what cannot be changed, we should focus on what can still be done. Optimism does not mean ignoring difficulties; rather, it means directing our attention to possible remedies. Only in this way can we turn a setback into an opportunity for improvement.
可用 in contrast / while / instead of 组织对比。
