参考范文When it comes to choosing a major in college, the debate between science and humanities has been a long-standing one. Personally, I believe that the choice should be based on individual interests and career goals.

Firstly, science majors often lead to careers with high demand and lucrative salaries. The fields of technology, engineering, and medicine are constantly evolving and require skilled professionals. Moreover, a background in science equips students with analytical skills that are valuable in any profession.

On the other hand, humanities majors cultivate critical thinking and a broad understanding of society and culture. They prepare students for careers in law, education, and the arts, which are equally important for societal development. Additionally, the skills gained from humanities, such as communication and empathy, are indispensable in today's globalized world.

In conclusion, the decision to major in science or humanities should not be made lightly. It is crucial to consider personal passion and the type of impact one wishes to make in the future. Both fields are essential and offer unique opportunities for personal and professional growth.
